Green Roof Industry Grew 16.1% in 2009
TORONTO—The North American green roof industry grew by 16.1% in 2009, according to Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC). The organization has published its 2010 Industry Survey, which includes a ranking of the top 10 cities in terms of green roof installations. Chicago ranked first in the list, with more than 500,000 ft2 (46 000 m2) installed. Washington, D.C., was second.
