Membership
In 2012, USGBC introduced a simpler and more inclusive membership structure that helps organizations interact with us in a manner that best accommodates their priorities, needs and budget. This change will help broaden the base of green building supporters and open the door to new members by removing barriers to entry. Our Membership Liaison will be: Lenora Isom
Green Building
Information Gateway (GBIG)

LEED v4

LEED Project Based
Learning
USGBC’s LEED Project Directory (
http://new.usgbc.org/projects) engages the green building community in contributing to and learning from LEED projects to advance green building knowledge. The directory offers a powerful opportunity to highlight projects in your community, engage new audiences and volunteers, and earn LEED project experience and LEED-specific CMP hours.
Our LEED Project Based Learning Liaison will be: Tim Rogers
(Clark Enersen Partners)
LEED for Existing
Homes
There are over 120 million existing housing units in the United States, many of which are in dire need of energy efficient and other green upgrades. This collection of existing homes is an enormous opportunity for chapters to engage in one of the most ambitious and rewarding campaigns USGBC has ever undertaken. An existing homes program is currently in development and will be ready for beta testing at the end of Q2 2013. Our chapter will help recruit members to participate in the
existing homes platform beta beginning in Q2.

Green Apple Day of
Service
September 28, 2013 will mark the second annual Green Apple Day of Service. In 2012, 100% of chapters engaged in this initiative and we hope to see even more activity from chapters in 2013. USGBC will be ramping up efforts to support organizers early in the year, including new resources on mygreenapple.org to address communications, recruitment, fundraising and more.
Our pathway for engagement will include:
·
Planning at least one event
·
Spreading the word about the Day of Service
·
Partnering with local institutes or members to
co-lead on more events
Diversity and
