GSA Update

You will recall our collective action last summer to send a strong message to the federal government in support of LEED. In total, 1,250 companies and organizations signed the letter that was delivered to GSA during the initial stages of their once-every-five-years review of green building rating systems.

 

While we were expecting GSA to conclude this nearly two-year effort this month, instead they have announced that they need more information... which opens the door for one more critical opportunity for us to make sure GSA gets it right.  

 

What you can do:

• Tell GSA why LEED makes sense for you, your clients and the federal government. Simply review the RFI and submit your comment today! Additional information on the RFI can be found here. 
• Ask your networks to comment! USGBC circulated this letter (also attached) to the 1250 signatories of last year's letter asking them to comment. 
• Keep informed: We will be updating www.usgbc.org with more materials and instructions to help in the commenting process. Let’s take advantage of this next 51 days to ensure GSA knows the USGBC community stands for leadership.

All comments are due by April 6th!
