November Lunch Session: LEED for Homes – Opportunity knocking for Nebraska

Over the past few years, LEED for Homes has been the fastest growing USGBC rating system. The LEED for Homes rating system applies to single family, low-rise multi-family, and mid-rise multi-family residential units (up to 8 stories). Between 2006-2014, LEED for Homes has grown exponentially from 31 buildings certified in 2006 to over 21,000 LEED for Homes certified units in 2014 with the majority of these units coming from the multi-family and affordable housing sector. But of the 136,731 certified LEED for Homes units in the U.S., only 3 are in Nebraska. Why? Nationally, 75% of the LEED for Homes multi-family units were built at local market rates, so cost is not a major factor. Grab your business manager and come find out what other firms and states are doing to drive LEED for Homes construction.
